Program Guidelines

The objective of the Dream DAP, Inc. grant is to assist as many single parents as possible to achieve the dream of home ownership. Our guidelines are designed to allow as many credit-worthy borrowers as possible the ability to purchase a home.

  • Interested parties must fill out an application for the program and pay a $25 application fee.

  • Must be a single parent. Single parent is defined as an unmarried (divorced) male or female who is caring for a child under the age of 18 and is filing the minor on their taxes.

  • There are no income limits under the Standard 97% LTV program. Single parents cannot exceed $120,000* in annual income

  • Must be Owner Occupied

  • Must be qualified through an approved lender (Lenders may participate with closing cost)

  • A single parent: male or female who:

    • 1. Is purchasing a primary residence;

    • 2. Must be Owner Occupied and Primary Residence. Manufactured or Trailer homes are NOT permitted..

  • Must have 1%* of the loan amount saved in either a banking institution or retirement account, etc.

  • Must attend homebuyer seminar and buyer consultation

  • Funds are available on a first-come first served basis

  • Any single parent may apply for the program regardless of lender.

How Program Works

Dream DAP, Inc. Grant works only with approved lenders. It does not work directly with borrowers. If you are a borrower, please contact your local mortgage lender for details. 


With Dream DAP, Inc., borrowers that meet the income, 

credit score and lender DTI requirements and who can 

otherwise qualify for an FHA or conventional loan, can receive a non-repayable grant of up to $10,000. 

Straigtforward Loan Underwriting Can Be FHA or Conventional

  • No First Time Home buyer restrictions 

  • No Geographic restrictions within the United States. 

  • No Repayment or Recapture provisions 

  • Up to $10,000 Down Payment provided by Dream DAP, Inc.
